Over this past weekend I started moving into a new apartment. I went to Value City Furniture for a new bedroom set.

I was approved for financing through GAFCO. I received a delivery date of Thursday morning and I was extremely excited. Now, after I left Value City, I received a call from GAFCO to verify my employment information. This is where things go sour.

For some background information, I am a 100% disabled veteran. The VA pays me every month without fail. Digression aside, when I first received a call from them, I was driving, and told them I would call them as soon as I arrived at my destination. I did.

The phone rang until voicemail. I left a detailed, concise message and asked them to call me back. I wait two hours before trying again and AGAIN being sent to voicemail. The next morning, I tried again to call them and STILL was let go to voicemail.

So I decided I would wait until they tried to get in contact with me. Which they did not do for the entire day, OR the day after! Now it is Tuesday, and I finally received a call from them at 11am. I gave them all the proper information they requested.

Things seemed to be resolved. Fast forward 3 hours, and I get a call, not from GAFCO, but from VALUE CITY, saying that my order had been cancelled because GAFCO could not get the information they wanted from the VA. I commend the VA for telling them to pound sand because it is my confidential medical information that is being questioned. What REALLY makes me angry, though, is that GAFCO didn't attempt to get in contact with me to go another route to verify income.

I have pay stubs. I have official letters that state how much I earn.

There are a plethora of ways they could have done this right, but they obviously insist on being what I can only describe as infuriatingly apathetic. I hope I never cross paths with this company again and will make sure I tell my friends to steer clear.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

GAFCO Cons: Had alot of issues with this company.
